| I've used one, it's fast...but not as fast as the thicker MacBook Pro's, obviously. Also there is no DVD drive, it's external only.

| I don't think it is the speed that is most concerning. At 1.6Ghz Core 2 Duo, it should be more than adequate for a normal user. The problem with the MacBook Air is the price. It is only a few hundred dollars off the MacBook Pro, a far superior model. And what for? 0.24” thinner than the MacBook Pro! It isn’t worth it, when it doesn’t even have a DVD drive because of its thin design. I fail to understand why anyone would want an ultra-thin laptop anyway. 1” is still very thin for a laptop, and a little bit thinner costs money and performance. I'd stick with a MacBook Pro instead, for now.

Yes. I'd be really nervous handling it, thinking that I might break it seeing as it looks so dainty and fragile.
