It was undeniably true though I always questioned why
And thru the years time became still as life slowed.
Nothing would grow, the air became like snow, burdened by the cold.
I try to shut out the questions, yet I don’t know what it is I’m searching for.
In an effort to find that which is lost, I’ve become lost myself,
I’ve lost myself to my thoughts with the hopes that I would find
Myself in them, then I would explain to my soul why things are the way they are.
An endless search of comfort, or understanding, I have concluded that there
Are no answers in life, and there are no worthy questions.
We tire ourselves with ideas and solutions, yet in reality these ideas are
Suppose to be what drive us to live, to live in emptiness is a life worth losing,
To lose everything is a life in emptiness, which direction you come from doesn’t matter,
Emptiness, the undeniable truth, the burning soul which has no answer to a thoughtful mind, and a caring heart, an empty soul has become a dead soul. I envy those who don’t understand these words, and perhaps they never will.
