Christian based religion. They are pretty straight-forward, pragmatic & sensible in their beliefs. Their worship style isn't weighed down by useleless and/or unexplainable ritual theatre, e.g. smoke, images, crucifixes, fancy robes, water, chanthing.
• They adhere to & use the entire bible
• They believe in heaven, but hell (in keeping with the original word definition) is not a fiery place but nothingness.
• They abstain from blood transfusions BUT will allow the use a current substutes
• They believe that it was NOT a cross that Jesus was staked to, but rather a pole as was the Roman custom at the time. (The cross symbol was borrowed by the church from a pagan religion)
• They believe babtizing babies is useless as one needs to be cognisant of what one is babtizing into, so they encourage adult age baptizing (after extensive bible studies)
• They believe Jesus was created by God and are not one in the same. Mary was a vessel for his carnation and her worship is discouraged
• A large part of those that died in concentration camps were Jehovah's Witnesses too.
• They are always studying the bible, and from time to time will adapt, modify or correct any earlier worship "errors" as opposed to simply follow rituals for the sake of rituality only
• They question the immortality of the soul and our place in heaven.
