Devils Chase In My Sleep

Today I Wake Up, Thoughts Crossing My Mind,
I saw a nightmare of me dying.
In my dream, I had no help,
It was I and the Devil making me yelp.

It was chasing and chasing as I ran
It seemed mad and devoted to its plan.
I in my dream had no Jesus,
It was a dream of me slowly shattering in pieces.

But there was a thought as I dreamed,
It was a thought of my plan to open my eyes.
It was a nightmare Devil chasing as I believed.
I was in anguish and loveliness left in demise.

As I ran and ran,
Something happened, but I know I fell.
The Devil was on my doorstep reaching for me,
But I felt a tap on my shoulder as if Jesus was still there indeed.

There Right that second, my eyes had opened,
As I saw myself in the mirror, I knew the Devil had already fled.
It had fled because I thought of Christ,
As the Devil again had lost of my Jesus heist!
