Pasadena and Montebello house mostly the very hin ekadz Armenians, mostly already second or third generation Armenian/Americans, though you will find pockets of diversity Armenians here and there majority of them are hin ekadz, early 50's through mid 60's.

Because, Doc jan, people are pre-programmed to behave according to pre-set norms. In acquiring identity, most teenagers like to self-identify with what they think fits those norms. So, if in his/her mind, being 818 or 323 or whatever, results in a desirable identity, that person will choose to advertise his/her belonging to the "desirable" group. Hence, the innumerable screennames containing area codes (quick, desirable identifier). Capish?

Mrs. Sula I knew the answer before I asked the question. I am just trying to see what these people have for an answer. The human psyche interests me.

ditto on "these people" Twisted Evil do you suppose a condescending/arrogant attitude towards the "masses" is a mark of superiority or just general weirdness? lol my husband and i were just talking about that -- everyone we care to associate with has a similar attitude towards humanity... sad, no?

I don't think it's arrogant or superior, I just think of it as a righteous view. However if you were a philosopher you would never be sure of your answer.

All I know is I rather drink from the half filled glass that has more knowledge than drink from the same full glass that everyone else drinks from.

you two are getting into to much details about this, its just a screen name that one picked to represent them and their thoughts, there is no arrogance or superiority attached to it or nothing of that sort
