On top of the separate breaks, the possibility of Engine breaking, etc etc, all by themselves enough to disprove the story, have any of you ever tried to remove a motorcycle helmet from somebody while the bike is in motion. I have trouble taking somebody else's helmet off while standing right in front of them because of the way the strap works, to do it at those speeds, from behind, not being able to see, and then to put it on yourself, very very unlikely, and would take more than enough time for the bike to come to a safe stop.

Personally, I think its sweet.
It may not be true, but it is sweet.
and no, not every girl thats watched too many cinderella movies would think this is cute, just every girl that would wish for a happy ending.

This is a legend, and nothing like this happened. First of all, it is extremely unlikely that both brakes will fail, second of all, if they both did fail you can stop by downshifiting, or even by turning off the engine:
