Do you people not listen to the lyrics in songs or something?
Hotel California being about drugs is a widespread misconception.
The song is about many things. It could be about drugs, hell, life in general, love, satan, addiction, whatever the hell you want it to be.
There are some lines in there that are clearly about abusing drugs and being addicted and what not, but it's much deeper than that.
Songs have no definite meanings, only what you make of them.
