Forgot to mention that Schindler's List's screenplay was written by Steven Zaillian (American Gangster, Mission Impossible etc)...so there is some Armenian flavor in there if you ask me.

I completely agree, there isnt a good Armenian movie that describes this in a captivating way. I also would want it to be highest quality possible.
I can put in a few hours every day. Let's think about this a bit.

No biggie, Levon.
You know, it is possible to start pre-production on this right away. We could come up with a rough (very rough) draft of the story. Research can be done. Documents can be collected. Don't mind me, fellas, I'm just thinking out loud.

K, I don't wanna sound like the lawyer in the room but. Let me see what we have to do in order to keep the draft (even the reallly rough one legally out of the hands of others) once we start writing it.
I'll do my best within the next few day's to find out.

Oh...and the reason Ararat only made about $2 million was because they didn't or couldn't get the film into mainstream theaters. The total amount of theaters showing the film at one time was 42.
And $15 million for the budget? Are you freakin kidding me?! Mannnnnn....with that much money, I would've expected to see something better.

I have an idea for a plot. I've been working on it for over a year now, still there is alot of unfinished parts to the story.
Trust me it's reallly good, or at least I think it is.
Pssshh. Bro, about mentioning the lawyer thing.... I've put alot of effort into my idea and I just dont feel comfortable putting it into the open like that, nothing personal to anyone.
As far as where I stand on this proposal, I'll get back to you guys/girls within a few days.
Kiso welcome, you have some writing talent as well you can put it to good use.
