We're forgetting that the Persians have also raped and murdered our people....so I don't really give one shit about the Persian Army.

Are you really going to hold a grudge with them over the Battle of Avarayr, which happened more than a thousand years ago?
Did you know that the northern region of Iran has an ethnic Azeri majority? Do you know that the United States, Israel, Turkey and Azerbaijan have designs on Iran and want this part of the country (which they call "South Azerbaijan") to split off and join the Republic of Azerbaijan? Do you know what will happen to Armenia if this happens? In fact it has been the Persians who have been stopping this from becoming a reality.
Looking for allies? Don't look to the north. The Georgian Kaka/rtvelis don't care what's going on, as long as they're making a profit. Neither do the Russians, who like to spend their time harassing Armenian and other Kavkaz immigrants in Moscow.

Also I've never even said my opinion on who should be Armenia's allies...but I do agree that if Iran goes down the chithole, Armenia will be in trouble because Iran is a very close ally.

Doesn't matter how long ago? Ok. Then hold a grudge against the Greeks, Byzantine relations with Armenia were not too great and there were many battles.
Hate the Assyrians - after all they were our traditional foe, before conversion to Christianity.
And why not the Russians? The Bolsheviks invaded the first independent Republic of Armenia (who's independence we commemorate every year on May 28!). And they demonstrated that the pen is truly mightier than the sword: with the stroke of a pen the Bolshekaks signed over Kars and Van to the Turks.

| Lol its based VERY loosley on true events. there was an army of 300, but they didnt like to go more than 20 miles away from Sparta. When they actually did fight iran for first time, they got surrounded because of a traitor (hunchback) and the 300 gave up without a fight! Greeks have wild imaginations. But i didnt like the movie because it was too fake, they had every kind of asian fighting plus vikings for iran! plus that fight guy with axe hands never foght, but it was still a good movie

well,if u talk about historical events u are exaclly in wrong
first of all this is what herodot said...and even the hellenic historian know it themself that herodot is so stupid and lier majority times...he was just a dreamer,and for sure he did what he can against iranian on his texts
Well the true historian sayds the population of iranian army was nearly jsut 18 thousand.....and spartans were some thousands too...and the true historical event that all accept is that spartans loosed this war so badly to iranian,and iranian catched the region so easly
Anyway this film was such a joke,these american just painted thier hates against iranian in thier movies...like 300 and like alexander and like hundrerds more
