Thats kool, but wouldn't it be kind of hard to bet when the games are rigged, because you don't know who might actually win

You have a point, but there is more involved then the average "organized style" or game rigging as it once was back in the days.

Nowadays its more about audience, Jordan and Pippen, Magic and Bird, these type of players amount to massive amount of dollars in sales.

Let me give you a very brief breakdown of what Im refering to when I say "rigging".

Boston is the obvious best team in the NBA. The payoff for Boston to win isnt as high, since everyone is voting FOR Boston to win. The Lakers made a creative pass through the playoffs and are now in the finals seat. If you look at the stats in order to make a sensible judgment on which team will win the finals, you will bet your money on the Boston Celtics.
Due to the large amount of people buying into the marketing of the rematch of a life time, Boston and Lakers at it again, the Showtime era back with a twist, yada yada, alot of people have begun to bet on the Lakers to win. Thus creating a larger gap between the odds, and making my payoff much higher then it was before. In reality the Lakers will lose and Boston will win, but I will make more money now because of fans who bet on "hope" rather then "calculated risk".

Go now, and may the DarkSide be with you.

Ohhh ok ok, I got it, well good luck
Boston is favored to win, and they will most likely, but hey, you never know

^^^Lev...could you help me with that betting stuff? I have no clue where to start. Or is it too late to bet on the game?

Just use my user name as reference bud, thanks.

I've helped some people before, but I wasnt happy with the outcome. I try to distance myself from helping others with betting.

I'll share one method into betting I learned once. Pick up the stats page on the paper or net for the sport your interested in. Then begin to pretend-play. Find what the stats and odds are for the team youre betting on. Then check how strapped you are on cash, and pretend you play.
After you build some confidence in picking teams, start to play with real cash.

Lakers played sloppy defense on Paul Pierce, but glad they still got a win, and if Gasol and Odom can play like that then we got a chance, cuz we won without Kobe being much of a factor for the last 3 quarters, came out on fire in the first, but that was about it.

Lets Go Lake Show

F*ck Celtics, I still have high hopes for lake show. If they win game 6, game 7 will depend on whoever wants to kiss that trophy the most, and it's obviously kobe who wants to do that Smile

Bostons been doing a good job defending Kobe, and the Lakers still won, Im just imagining if Kobe breaks loose in the 4th quarter, like he did in the first quarter last night, we need some 4th quarter scorers. I think the next 2 in Boston will be close games, or atleast the next one for now.

Ron Artest considering opting-out and signing with a championship contender for MLE.

http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?story_id=9099

Lakers, Hornets, or San Antonio

my guess is that this would be the starting line-up IF we do get him.

Bynum
Gasol
Odom
Artest
Kobe

that would be a murderrr squad

Man, really sorry for you die hard fans of the Lakers. I bet it sucks to watch Lakers go out this way.

If its any concellation, next year the Lakers might actually become champions, it all depends on Kupchak and how stingy he tries NOT to be.

This was the most embarrassing Laker game ever. After halftime I couldn't take it anymore... had to switch the channel. So many turnovers and so many missed shots ughhhh... all I'm sayin is that Gasol has got to wipe off that damn oil off his slippery hands cause every time he gets the ball its handed over to the other team and thats just the beginning. Anyhow, I hope that the Lakers learn their lesson and comeback next season tougher then ever and win it all.

Again with the "hope"?

If Lakers win the finals next year, hope will have very little to do with it. Lakers need a better team, stronger and experienced players, they need to get rid of Odom and put Gasol as a sub to Bynum (assuming Bynum will be ready to play next year). Anyhow, pay attention to what the Lakers managment does now. The deals they make now will increase or decrease the chances of them winning next year.

Pretty certain that the Lakers will switch off their players next year... cause it certainly didn't seem to payoff this year with this line up. But compared to where they started and and where they ended up... I say they didn't do bad!
