| well I am a little bit far from you geografically, but I do understand your'e shocked about what happened, (and I would add after what's all happened in the past and can happen), totally agree with chillaxin in every word he used to express himself, however to the extend of my knowledge gangs have always existed almost everywhere and no authority has been able to resolve this problem until now, if they ever wanted to resolve it. moreover from time to time movies are released glorifying gangs, and all those lost kids who consider themselves futurless come together and form gangs with all it's consequences on the ground. some times they end up like their victims after intergang fightings or in jail and in best cases as alchoolics or drug addicts.. I mean you can discuss abt it indefinitely but the final words go to the authorities. not what they do declare, but rather what actions they take and no hypocrisy abt this final part |

HKD, bro I can't tell you how many times I have tried to help out these idiots and explain to them that the path they're headed isn't a pretty one. They're too ignorant. I've gotten through to a couple of them. I've done my part by trying to help our community. But it's not enough. I, unfortunately, have given up. I couldn't care less anymore. If they want to throw away their lives, then so be it. I used to think that all this gangbanging shit was just a "stage" most everyone goes through...I mean, I went through it (not to the point of joining a gang, but I was headed down that path) and I grew out of it. IDK, I guess thinking logically is not for everyone.  Anyways, hopefully these youngens realize their life is worth more than just getting a rep.

srry being late to reply, was making a tour on other threads and topics. well glad you didn't get involved further chillaxin, but I do not agree with doc. the policy you mention was practiced by the police concerning the gangsters and bootleggers during last century's 20's and 30's. Mean there were massacres on the streets from ny to la and from frisco to chicago, but those gangsters were running businesses tough they had to defend them in their gangster way by killing but also making huge profits, and (out of it we must accept that wether it's pleasant or not), they gave big amounts of charitable donations to very legal charitable organizations. but unlike to them today kids are very very far from these gangsters, they are just lost, and think if they will have enough members in their gangs,
which I consider a rat mentality, they will have money, sex, easy life, and so on, and all they get is as I mentioned above .. |

Become a preacher then and dedicate your life helping 20 people............but after you've wasted your time and you're gone from this planet, new "lost" kids will pop up. In other words why waste time when you can help the ones you love and take care of yourself? It's an endless loop.

| There are such people that live in ghettos and projects and feel that if they dont hang with the gang they are not safe they feel they are dammed either way,and remember alot of these kids sometimes dont have a father figure around and sometimes the moms on crack sad but true so when thats all they know you cant really put all the blame on them but some on the parents and the adults and examples around them. |

This is very rare in the Armenian culture. Hollywood, Glendale, North Hollywood are NOT ghettos compared to other places such as Compton, Watts, etc. Not to say that crime doesn't happen anywhere.
Most Armenian fathers have loving parents, unlike blacks and Mexicans where the parents couldn't give a shit about their kids.
I still don't see why they need to join a gang. Their parents emigrated from war torn countries just to get their kids in a safe place and look at what they're doing. Also some families allow their kids to become like this so this is no excuse for them. |

It makes me laugh everytime I hear those two words combined in one sentence. I laugh because 90% of what Armenians are doing today, the Jews have done it 5 or more years ago. I don't get what your point is. Yes there are Armenian gangsters/mafiosos (the latter mainly in the homeland) but the good people outweigh these outlaws.
Armenians are very family oriented. Other cultures are not.
Most troublemakers learn their lesson and by then they are "mature. Some do not and they either get killed or end up in jail. |

| You guys are ignorant...you believe whatever your hear. Not saying that these young gentelman were correct to shoot the 46 year old man, but im not sure it went the way it is portrayed. The man must have instigated or at least triggered something in these gang members to shoot him. Think about it...no one just pulls a gun out and shoots...im guessing he went in there cussing and yelling so those boys pulled out a gun. Why risk your life over a stupid wall???? I guess both sides were tempermental...just like every other Armenian. Oh please. Instigated or not, no one has the right to shoot ANYBODY. First of all they are breaking rules by doing graffiti on PRIVATE PROPERTY. That's #1. The owner has the right to take out his shotgun and shoot these kids. Secondly, stfu. Thirdly, their graffiti sucked major ass. That's not even graffiti. Most gang bangers that I know are either dead or have learned life lessons from their time in the gang. The true OG's that were in AP are gone now, leaving AP in the hands of a bunch of pot smoking losers who are being taxed by....guess who........those damn Mexicans.
A mans fists are more powerful than a gun. Not sure you will understand what I am saying here since you probably didn't even graduate high school. |
