2k is a good amount of money to start with, now you need to ask yourself what you are good at.
As for myself, I'm really good at graphic designs and photoshop.
I would take the 2k and start my own graphics company.
Will take some of that money and print a pack of 1000 business cards from office depot.
Also look into getting a professional website setup which you can put the url on your business card.
Once all the basic stuff is complete start looking for clients. Ask everyone you know.
Maybe someone like your friends parents have a business and need some graphics done or someone you already know needs that type of work.
If you can offer them a reasonable price and good quality work then your good to go.

Don't forget to compile a portfolio of course. That is a good suggestion, but he asked for a "quick" way. |

| Start an ad based free newspaper for your area, easy and you will make lots of money. 2k would be enough if you wanted to start your own, you would need 7k to get a franchise that would give you all info and stories. That makes it easier but more expensive. |
