Do you (as an Armenian) see Jesus as a messenger of God or a part of God? Do you believe Jesus created the heavens and the earth? I am just curious. Thanks!

Most Armenians now have this idea...
I think Jesus is the son of God, he is our saviour, yes he is a part of God :)

The holy trinity is very hard to understand. Most pastors can't even explain it exactly, but here's a rough explanation.
There's the father, son, and holy spirit, all different, yet one being.
In the Gospel of John, Chapter 1, Verse 1 it reads:
In the beggining was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
This verse kind of gives me an idea, hope its some help to you.

I believe he simply was a teacher who was trying to reform the strict uncompassionate Judaic religion. He is no different than Socrates or other great philosophers who have been glorified in scriptures.

Silly Christian beliefs, heres a funny dialogue just to show its logic:
'This is not how a Muslims sees God or Jesus, but this is a snapshot in the Christian mind. This would be dialogue in the christian psyche.
Ok Jesus, time for you to go to earth and be the perfect lamb.
Jesus: do I have to?
Yes you do.
Jesus: why now why this time daddy?
Because those darn humans can't stop sinning and I don't know how to save them from hellfire. I mean I don't know how you would save them from hellfire..since you are me and I am you and we are three in one after all.
Jesus: can you just drown them again?
Being there done that...you did that too...we did that too. Don't you remember, they started sinning right after the dove brought the olive branch
Jesus: how about brimstones and fire?
No it didn't work. They are still having acts of homosexuality in Greece. So it won't work
Jesus: so what's now?
I don't really know about them darn humans. You know I created them we created them but I don't have a clear plan of salvation for them. Anyway, Jesus you are going to make yourself very small and the angel is going to put in Mary's womb.
Jesus: can't I just go down like I am now?
No I am afraid it won't do. You need to go through the birth canal and spend 30 years in your life to understand the same people you have created
Jesus: if we are so mighty, how come we don't know much about them when we created them?
I don't know..you don't know..you ask too many questions...you need to learn about their loves fears and so forth. At the age of 30, then you are going to start preaching and hiding because you are scared of the Romans and the Jews. When you reach 33 I am going to nail you (or you are going to nail yourself) on a cross after a good trashing by the Romans, this way everybody will be saved by believing you have died for them on the cross.
Jesus: okay, it's a plan!

| You are going to be judged according to the Truth. Justice will be served by God the Father, only Jesus can save you. The basis of this belief is the Ressurection of the Christ Jesus. He is the Firstborn of the dead. He came back to us in physical body flesh to show us that He is Victorious over death. You can have any thought process you want and follow any world religion you want since you have the God given free will but you will be judged by a perfect God. A perfect God with a perfect Love and His Perfect Word Jesus. If there is any man out there that is perfect, then he or she shouldn't worry, but there isn't. God has His perfect Kingdom and only through the cleansing and the accepting of His Blood that is without sin and the accepting of the Truth that is Him in His Resurrection can we enter into His Kingdom. Amen.

I think you should think about it more. It's very unlikely it was made up. The Bible was written as a record. Over years, chapters were added. When Jesus was born, his chapters were added.
I beleive that parts are poetic and metaphorical. It's like part history, part morals book.
God? I think the universe itself is god.

There have been many people to say that Jesus never existed or they try to deny his being in the Holy Trinity, but the amazing thing is that these people die away and the Bible is still being read all over the world and Jesus is Living. The Word of God is Living.
Think about it, Dan Brown will eventually die, Lenin is dead, Stalin is dead, Hitler is dead, Ataturk is dead, Niche is dead, Presidents , Kings, Dictators all dead or will eventually die. Im sorry but even your favorite actor, sports star, musician all going to die one day. Even Bill Gates, Warren Buffet(gave away most of his fortune)nothing new under the sun going to die too.
JESUS IS LIVING! THIS IS THE GOOD NEWS! HOPE FOR EVERY MAN!

What I believe is that he isnt the son of god, he is a prophet. He is a messenger. He is mortal. Claiming him near Gods power is blasphamous! God is our ONLY lord. How could a mere mortal be a part of him? He who is the creator, who could destroy Prophet Jeseus Alay-Salam when he willed? Those who hold a mere mortal near his power are blasphamous. The holy Trinity is Blasphamy beyound even Paganism. Claiming that he is his hes son and him at the same time makes him an Avatar? Are you christian, or Hindu? If he truly is Christ, then why didnt Saint Krikor ever refer to him as such? Why is hes name in Armenian translated to Prophet instead of christ? Because people screwed around with the Bible.

He is God. The trinity I have explained in the general forum, with simple example of H2O. I never thought God can be counted as ONE, but rather AN INFINITE.
The part of Jesus being human is the part of great salvation planned by God.
In Quran, Jesus:
1) is sinless (19:19
2) is similar to Adam in His existence in this world.
3) Is ruhullah and kalimatullah.
Please think that again.
A.

| hey cat... in Islam, all human beings receive their 'ruh' (soul) from Allah as it says in the Qu'ran, so we are all ruhullah... one of the main difference between prophets and normal humans is that prophets (all of them) are 'kalimatullah'... hence we always say 'Bismillah-ar-rahman-ar-rahim' before reciting the surahs... when the Prophets come with a message, they are God's words, hence all Prophets are inspired by the Word of God (kalimatullah)... hope this concept is clear...

"Why is hes name in Armenian translated to Prophet instead of christ? "
His name is the Armenian version of Jesus. Who says it means prophete?
Jesus is accepted as the son of God. He performed miracles. He was mortal and knew he would be killed by the Romans.
"He is a messenger"
You could say that as well. He was here to change the world. He delivered his message.

| You have your believes, and I have mine. One thing we have in common is we both believe God gave freedom to choose religion, thats why he doesnt interact with us. But even when I was Christian, I never belived them as 1, doesnt one of the commandments claim he is alone, no other gods, the claim of trinity is polytheism. But we really cant be sure. You have to believe, and on Judgement Day, Mankind will discover the truth. Im not condriticting our country, but I dont belive in the Trinity, by the way, In one of the forums I explained how the teachings of the prophet were purposly misinterpreted.
