too much to demand from a demented person. I get the feeling that the majority of leaders throughout history have some sort of mental illness, but this one beats all others.

Thats a funny joke. Its messed up how the US started to make a list of terrorist nations. The word "terrorist" is used now adays like "communist" was used 50 years ago. Its losing its meaning. Terrorists are states and media who terrorize the minds of people. Always scaring the crap out of people of upcoming terrorist attacks. If they know it is upcoming then stop it and stop making us worried about it. Don't get me wrong I don't want to live in la-la land, but to scare the crap out of people is mental terrorism. I miss the Delta Force movies, where the Arab guys take over the plane and they grab some Jews and Catholic priest and nuns and then land in Lebanon and then Chuck Norris saves the day. Chuck Norris could do a better job saving us than the US government.
I don't think Bush or Cheney or anyone high up in government is Christian. They can claim to be but I don't believe it. Jesus taught us to help orphans, widows and other people in need, not to bomb their country. Jesus is the leader who is also the front line soldier of the Christian faith and the ultimate sacrifice. None of these politicians would ever go and fight for us, but they don't mind other people dying.
