WORDS OF WISDOM
***********************
Roberto Benigni: "First impressions are not
always reliable, especially if you decide not to
see the bastard again!"
Vassilis Vassilikos: "By the time you have
understood your fellow men, it’s too late because
you no longer have enough time left to avoid
them."
Machiavelli: "A man who wants to be perfectly
honest among dishonest people cannot fail to
perish sooner or later."
Hagop Baronian: "Insults: in the old days people
died from them; in our own days they live by
them."
Schiller: "With stupidity even gods contest in
vain."
Gostan Zarian: "Withered souls and twisted minds
are parasites that smother life. Exposing them is
our sacred duty."

GOOD ADVICE
#############################################
G.B. Shaw: "There are limits to what a mule or an
ass will stand; but man will suffer himself to be
degraded until his vileness becomes so loathsome
to his oppressors that they themselves are forced
to reform it."
Balzac: "The human race is not situated, socially
speaking, between the good and the bad but
between the bad and the worse."
Raffi: "A man willing to admit his mistakes is
thought of as eccentric. People feel more
comfortable in the presence of those who lie and
cover up. They hate a man who speaks the truth."
Martyros Saryan: "Ignorance tends to be more
assertive than its counterpart."
Simone Weil: "We know by means of our
intelligence that what the intelligence does not
comprehend is more real than what it does
comprehend."
G.B. Shaw: "For obstructive purposes, twenty
sheep are more effective than fifty wolves."
Vassilis Vassilikos: "There are a thousand ways
to speak, but only one way to be silent.

ARMENIAN WISDOM
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Baruir Sevak: "It is better to be a good reader
than a bad writer."
***
Karekin Nejdeh: "When a man falls down and
doesn’t have the will to stand up, no amount of
help will be of any use to him. It is the same
with a nation that does nothing but complain,
lament, and beg."
***
Anonymous: "The worship of money is a terminal
disease."
***
Raffi: "The message of the world is clear: If you
don’t learn how to kill, you forfeit your right
to exist."
***
Gostan Zarian: "If a thought cannot be expressed
in a few words it cannot be worth expressing."
***
Shmavon Hovsepian: "A jury of tigers, crocodiles,
wolves, and hyenas is not qualified to condemn to
death a cat guilty of killing a mouse."
***
Hagop Baronian: "Aavarice is an addiction whose
eyes are bigger than its belly."

THE ROLE OF LOGIC IN HUMAN AFFAIRS
*********************************************
Logic may apply to math and philosophy but not to
human affairs. You cannot say: "If you admit
this, you must also admit that," or "If you
behave this way, you must find that behavior
acceptable."
Life is a puzzle and men bundles of
contradictions. Hence the sayings: "Politics
makes strange bedfellows"; "It takes all kinds";
"S/he is beyond me";
"Wo/men are unpredictable"; "Love is blind" (and
hate isn’t?); and "The Armenian is an enigma that
refuses to be solved" (Neshan Beshigtashlian).

Are you English Lit major or English Writing? Or do you simply read countless of books for your own pleasure?
ps. you should read more of Bernard Shaw's book and read "the Prince" by Machiavelli, you will enjoy almost every sentence for both books, once you analyze and realize what it says.
