Before any problems existed, at least that's how we saw it.

Doing algebra work out of Armenian textbooks after school, because I had to "keep up with the smart kids in Armenia, not the dumb Americans"
..
oh wait, I hated that part
Seriously, though, I miss being able to visit Yerevan every summer to see my cousins and aunts. I haven't done that in a few years because I've been busy working. :(

The basketball court next to my apartments a lot of the local legends would come and hoop here, its how me and my friends learned. Won't ever forget it. Never played with that sort of competition ever again.

My favorite childhood memory was going camping with my cousins and family. On the road there, we would stop by orchards and pick fruits to eat. We would always go to Wheeler Gorge in Ohai, pitching our tents on the same campsite every time. We knew the owners so they would allow us to bump Armenian music loud while we danced around a gigantic fire pit. The river flow there used to be very abundant so we would build little pond-like dams to swim in. As time passed, the river dried up completely. =\
Catching frogs, tadpoles, water spiders, all sorts of insects - shooting bbguns and slingshots - hiking through the length of the river until we were dead tired - waking up in the morning to eat watermelon that had been cooling in the river the whole night - late nights under the stars in front of the fire, eating fire baked potatoes and hot dogs - etc etc
*sigh*
