I'm in college and I want to switch one of my classes. The class i want to switch into is full.
I really really need this class. It's going to hold me back a semester without it.
One of my professors told me to go and just sit through the class if there is an extra seat (this class has 5 extra seats) She also told me to talk to the professor after, explaining that I really want to be in the class. I know that often times, the professor has the authority to add students to the class, even if it's full. One of my professors added about 8 additional students over the number allowed to register in the system. But this witch told me that there is nothing she can do about it. She advised me to talk about this issue with the department chair.
Is there anything else I can do/say? I really need this class.

Try e-mailing the professor before the class, telling them you really need and want to add. Then go sit in the class, and talk to the professor after class, and remind them of the e-mail.

Make the professor think you dig him; most men are fools, he'll add you on the spot  If it's a woman, your best bet is to have her believe that you've heard that she's an absolute authority on the subject and that you wouldn't want to learn from anyone else.

waitlist... or sit through the class but, sit somewhere where he can see you, like IN THE FRONT... go up to him at the end of class, and tell him you emailed him and that you need the class to fulfill your requisites for your major.... if you're a senior or close to graduation or transfering, and if he wont add you, go to the big bosses, like the chairman of your school and tell them why you HAVE to take the class ASAP.
my friend had this happen to her this semester, and she got enrolled even though the class was full.. but thats cuz the professor said shell add her, but then said she wont, and cuz my friend is a senior.. but yea.. good luck

get involved ask question join debates and such so she can c u want it actions speak louder then wrds

Don’t give up.
Keep showing up for the class and like mentioned earlier get involved and show enthusiasm. Tell her you situation and why you need this class and how other teachers have advised you to try to get in to your class. Ask the professor who suggested this to you to talk to her. Also do as she advised, talk to the department chair…..it might be that she is new and doesn’t want to go against certain rules on her own accord.

Give her the whole Ive been in treatment for ________ for the past 2 years. Coming to college has been a huge struggle for me. This is my last year, I cant believe I came this far with the condition Im in. I really need this class to finish school this semester, because my doctor has advised me to take time off from school to concentrate on my health, and I need to finish school as soon as possible, I cant lag until next semester..
You can replace the _______ with a few things. I would go with a mood disorder.
It has worked for me many times, but if you cant act dont even bother..
