OMG I was so excited this morning, as soon as we got England I thought we were gonna be thr group of death, but we lucked out. We're definitely making it past group, but we need to beat England so we don't get that Group D winner.

As long as the US plays up to its' potential, we should be in good shape. There is going to be intense hype and expectations now that the group looks manageable, so they can't let that get to their head.

In other news Fernando, kill me now, the Reds are collapsing before my eyes (save the Merseyside Derby result.)

We've been plagued by injuries this season. International play messed up Torres' groin. Same injury with Gerrard. We have yet to play a game with our newest editions(glen johnson, alberto aquilani). We still have a shot in the EPL, but definitely out of the champions league. If we can stay in the top four, we'll be in the next champions league. I still cant believe Alonso is gone, big hole in the midfield without him.

The Alonso situation definitely destroyed the season, and I blame Rafa. Not to say he is irreplaceable in the Midfield, but he needed to sell him off as soon as Alonso said he wanted out. We needed time to find someone and get everything worked out, but because of the timing of everything, it was too late to do much. Once everyone is healthy, we should hopefully finish in the Top 4 and try to challenge next season.

arsenal should be eating sh.it with van persie out for the next 4-5 months. And i doubt tottenham can continue doing well 'til the end. We just need Man U to stop getting lucky wins like they have all season and we should have a decent shot at Chelsea.

Yeah, it will most likely go down exactly the way you just said. We're 13 pts out of 1st, so I dont see us really challenging Chelsea at all, but we're only 3 pts out of 3rd, so those two teams will definitely collapse and we can sneak into 3rd by season's end.

I'm interested to see how we will approach the Europa League though. We'll see.

We need Onyewu back for the USA really bad. Rumor is England is going to start a 3 strikers(Rooney, Agbonlahor, Heskey). Jesus christ the USA vs England game is going to reach epic proportions!!!

Mexico doesnt have the size on offense. Thats the main reason i dont see them moving on. The best player on their team is a defender(Rafa Marquez). I dont see them doing much in this world cup.

Fernando, I agree with all your picks except I see Uruguay moving on instead of S Africa. I also can't decide between Ghana/Serbia and Greece/Nigeria finishing 2nd in their respective groups.

As far as Onyewu, yeah we definitely need him back. His size and skill is something we can't afford to lose, he's very underrated. Last I've heard we are moving on with preparations as if he will not be joining the squad, but nonetheless he is still expected to return anyways.

im just not a fan of Vela, the guy is 5'7. Dos Santos does some work on the wing for tottenham, but i just dont see them doing damage in this world cup.
